The truth I'm a cartoonist shame not get to a good level amateur artist ( as there are many good here at DeviantART ) and much less to the level of a professional artist who can develop beautiful artistic strokes with the anatomy and design of one superhero. But with the little that I can to draw is enough to make drawings to develop my designs...
The drawing that Ross Andru did in the 70s. of Superman & Spider -Man of full body being back to back for this mythical first crossover between Marvel & DC characters , is one of the best compositions in a drawing of superheros that I to seen. I think that Roos Andru drawing this composition as one promotional poster and the final page of this mythical crossover and definitely I needy to use this composition in a drawing of face to face of Ociel Sánchez & TONAMELT The Dark Protector for that the comic book reader see how they look together the young and intrepid reporter and his alter ego as avenging watchman (like vigilante).
For me one of the best superhero comics of the history is this crossover between Superman and Spider -Man in the 70s handmade with the great drawing of Ross Andru and the great writing of Gerry Conway. This style of graphic narration and plot of the 70s - 80s is the style of superhero comics that I like, which was aimed at children and teenagers that tells a simple and consistent story where the hero makes his extraordinary promises... Unfortunately this style of graphics narration and story to make comics is missed more and more for wanting to do that superhero comics are "more serious", "more adult" and more targeting to these unbearable geeks comic fans nerdies ultra specialized in criticizing to the comics stabbing the childish fantasy that must have a good superhero comic.
The drawing Ross Andru is amazing, spend the years and the decades and it still looks great, like everything that was done by the drawing hand of a brilliant artist . Ross Andru was a illustrator more old that John Romita SR and had more years of drawing comics (he had drawn a number of Wonder Woman for DC Comics in the late 50s). But when Marvel Comics contract to him to draw Spider -Man and the editor Stan Lee told him he should follow the style guide of the characters in Spider -Man made by John Romita SR, Ross Andru adsorbed the drawing style of John Romita SR and in opinion of many people one thing incredible to happen: "Ross Andru improve the style that John Romita SR development and did shine more ." The same or similar situation was with Gil Kane also with re-invention his style of drawing when he started working for Marvel Comics drawing Spider -Man, despite the fact that Gil Kane had worked for DC Comics, including his work in the mythical Showcase that give to meet the new Green Lantern Hal Jordan , with one style similar to drawing style of Curt Sawn that was the great drawing style to follow in DC Comics in the mid 60s.

Let's be realistic, TONAMELT not have the super powers of Superman, Spider-Man or Flash to walk alone around with his mesh suit of latex and polyester , spandex if he lived in the Marvel universe ... it is also that he has not the gadgets of Batman or he can not to toss a stick or a shield that bounces around of all things like Daredevil and Captain America.
But a pistol is a image very shocking in the design of a superhero costume or avenging watchman who has not fallen into the role of being a lethal anti-hero like Punisher or Deathstroke. In the first issues of The Batman which were published in Detective Comics, Bob Kane, Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson designed to Batman with a pistol as part of the weapons from his belt.
